Production Process

1. Design — Send a tech pack, sketch or moodboard. High-quality PDF artwork preferred.
2. Sampling (21–28 days) — From arrival of all materials and artwork. Custom pattern or custom dyeing adds 14 days each, run in parallel.
3. Bulk production (45 days) — From approval of the confirmation sample and deposit.
4. Delivery — FOB or ExWorks, with full documentation including Certificate of Origin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your minimum order quantity?

Our MOQ is 250 pairs per style per colour, with a total order quantity of 500 pairs at the time of export. For new programs with strong long-term potential, talk to us about a trial run.

Does ordering a larger quantity reduce my per-pair price?

Yes. Costs come down as volume goes up, because fixed costs are amortised across more pairs. 500 pairs per shipment and 250 pairs per colour is base pricing. 3,000 pieces gives excellent cost efficiency. 10,000 pieces delivers our lowest unit cost through maximum fixed-cost dilution.

What is included in the base price?

Carton with markings, one large polybag, antimould treatment, card stuffing for structure, one internal woven label, and a basic single-sided swing ticket.

Do you charge a sample fee?

Yes — VND 400,000 or USD $10 per pair. The fee is fully refundable and deducted from your deposit invoice when the bulk production order is placed. Existing brand partners are exempt from sample fees.

How long does sampling take?

Standard sample lead time is 21–28 days after all materials and artwork arrive at our Vietnam factory. A completely new proprietary pattern adds 14 days, and dyeing materials to custom brand colours adds 14 days. Where a project needs custom logos, custom fits and custom dyeing, we process them simultaneously to keep the overall lead time as short as possible.

How long is bulk production?

Production lead time is 45 days from approval of the confirmation sample and payment of the deposit, where a deposit is required.

What artwork do you need from me?

High-quality PDF files are preferred, though high-resolution image files are accepted.

What branding and logo techniques do you offer?

Embroidery: direct standard, 2D puff, chain and multilayer. Patches: woven, Merrow, leather deboss or emboss, PU deboss, rubber or PVC, and embroidery. Printing: plastisol, screen print, digital print, heat emboss, heat transfer and placement print.

Are there mould fees for custom branding?

Simple embroidery has no mould costs. Complex items such as multi-colour rubber patches require a mould fee charged at cost, which is deducted from your first bulk invoice.

Do you offer custom retail packaging?

Yes. Custom hangers, customer plastic polybags, customer cards, swing tickets, polybags, price labels, barcodes, RFID labels, hangers, clips and joiners are all available.

What materials do you source in Vietnam?

We source Vietnamese cotton, polyester and threads locally. For sustainable programs we work with rPET recycled polyester, and organic and regenerative cotton.

What certifications do you hold?

Our factory is amfori BSCI audited, and we are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified by Intertek and authorised to issue official Transaction Certificates for recycled materials. Established 2018.

Do you have an internal QC team?

Yes — a dedicated on-site QC team operating under AQL 2.5 standards.

Do you allow third-party inspections and testing?

Yes. We fully support independent physical and chemical testing via Intertek, SGS, QIMA or Bureau Veritas.

Are your socks REACH and Proposition 65 compliant?

Materials are regularly tested to ensure compliance with EU REACH regulations and USA California Proposition 65 safety standards.

What are your payment terms?

30% deposit upon sample approval, and the remaining 70% after pre-shipment QC inspection. Ongoing, established clients may seek negotiated credit terms.

How can I pay, and in which currencies?

We support PayPal. Major currencies we can receive payment in are AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, NZD, SGD, HKD and HUF. We also support AED, CHF, CZK, CNY (restricted), DKK, ILS, JPY, NOK, PLN, RON, SEK, UGX and ZAR.

Which shipping terms do you support?

We are highly flexible. Supported terms include FOB (Free On Board) and ExWorks. We are a factory — we provide the highest quality for the price and control IP, so it makes much more sense for the customer to arrange shipment and take control of delivery. Local destination duties and taxes are not our responsibility.

Do you provide a Certificate of Origin?

Yes. We provide comprehensive shipping documentation, including a Certificate of Origin to facilitate customs clearance and free trade agreement benefits.

Do you offer warehousing and split deliveries?

Yes. We maintain a warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City that can securely store inventory, accept split or phased deliveries, and fulfil drop-shipping or B2B/B2C orders.

Will you sign an NDA for my designs?

Yes. Focus Socks signs Non-Disclosure Agreements and has zero tolerance for sharing proprietary designs or fits.

Where is your factory, and what are your export markets?

Our primary manufacturing facility is in Vietnam, approximately two hours from Ho Chi Minh City, with capacity for over 120,000 pieces per month. Our primary export markets are the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Where do I send samples and reference product?

Samples go directly to our factory in Long Binh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Please get in touch for full details first.
